Dr Sharon Wilson grew up in Canberra before leaving for university in Sydney. She holds an honours degree in genetics before graduating in Medicine from the University of Sydney in 2006. She undertook her cardiology training via the Eastern Network in Sydney before leaving for an advanced imaging fellowship at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.
She then stayed in Cambridge for over five years, gaining experience in aspects of cardiology that are not common in Australia. She is a specialist in maternity cardiology, inherited cardiac conditions and multimodality imaging. She has experience managing complicated patients and their families.
She is very interested in Physician education which she continues via supervision of basic and advanced trainees in both Australia and the UK. In her spare time, she tries to convince a Cairn Terrier to behave.
